Read. It's good for you.

Writing about myself in the third person is fun when messing around with friends. I won't do that to you, because we just met.

Hello, hello!

I'm a retired computer programmer/coder turned award-winning copywriter, poet, filmmaker, and conceptual photographer. In essence, I love telling stories.

I play with words.

I make photographs.

I enjoy people-watching and writing narrative poems based on my observations.

Sometimes my Muses and I start up intimate conversations and with permission, they let me take their photograph.

I get a thrill from improv acting and interpretive dance, and I do the latter during lunch breaks while taking leisurely strolls on sidewalks.

I currently use my analytical and creative problem-solving gifts in the advertising and creative marketing industry. Translation: I've named a brand, collaborated with notable public figures and celebrities, worked with some incredible creative minds, and I've picked up dozens of awards along the way.

On a typical day, I spend my working hours developing visual and verbal identity playbook strategies for brands, providing creative content leadership by overseeing writers, editors, graphic artists and motion designers, all while spearheading national and international campaigns for global brands.

I love geeking out on cinema, TV and film, so much so that during the pandemic, I began hosting virtual watch parties with friends from all over the world to discuss the poor life decisions made by fictional characters (my watch party crew and I just celebrated our third anniversary). And when art imitates life, I am inspired by these fictional acts of courage and vulnerability as well.

So yes, I think I'm wonderful to know, and I try to move through life like it's pretty grand.

Past life experiences (before stumbling pen first into the colorful world of Advertising):

1) Working as a coder for Unicef.

2) Joining a comedy troupe.

3) Performing dramatic spoken word narratives at poetry slams, to overcome the fear of public speaking.

Current life ambitions include the desire to keep spending my time as a storyteller, while exploring peculiar visual art mediums.

Just took up experimental encaustic painting and I'm relearning how to play the piano. Whoop!

The retirement plan is to host philosophical debate parties at exotic locations, starring my beloved future pet turtles and tortoises—Angelou, Salinger, Camus, Lagbaja, Imogen, and Dylan.

For more information on work, to place gift orders, or to join me on a park bench for an afternoon of people-watching, feel free to say hello.
